Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals are by arrangement with the Priest in Charge.
Our regular prayer group meets every Friday morning.
Holy Communion is held every Sunday at 8.30am. This service combines the best of Anglican liturgy with a mix of traditional and modern hymns. Morning tea is held afterwards in the hall.
Our parishioners are faithful and committed and care deeply for each other's welfare. Many are long time residents of Palmwoods and St Augustine's has been an important part of their lives. Our ranks include two special dogs, Barney and Indie, who attend regularly, though Barney's interest is mainly in the morning tea. Newcomers are always warmly welcomed.
We are part of the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland within the worldwide Anglican Communion. Our tradition is firmly in the liberal catholic mould, emphasising the importance of a sacramental liturgy, fine preaching of God’s word, excellent music and a strong sense of social justice. We are an inclusive church and everyone is welcome.
Outreach in the community is an important part of St Augustine's and the ministry to Sundale Retirement Village and our Op Shop provide fellowship and support for many in the community.
