The Priest in Charge of St Augustine's is Archdeacon Richard Gowty, who has been with the parish since 2013. Richard was ordained in 1972 and has served the Anglican church mainly in the Diocese of Brisbane in Toowoomba, Gatton, Indooroopilly and finally Buderim where he was at St Mark's for 18 years. He has also served overseas in England, Texas in the USA and Italy, Spain, and Germany in Europe. He is a passionate golfer and a lifelong Geelong Cats supporter. Richard is married to Margie, has 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren – and he’s passionate about them too.
